Industrial Scaffolding Services Across Ireland
Summit Scaffolding provides industrial scaffolding for power stations, manufacturing plants, refineries, water treatment facilities and heavy engineering sites across Ireland. We are Safe-T-Cert accredited and operate under a certified safety management system on every project. Our teams are QQI Level 5 trained and experienced in working within live industrial environments where access control, permit to work systems and zero incident targets are non-negotiable.
We work directly with Tier 1 main contractors including Sisk, BAM Ireland and Cairn Homes on major industrial programmes. Our track record includes Great Island Power Station in Wexford, where we provided scaffolding access to a 300 million euro capital works programme with 45 operatives on site over an extended period, achieving zero incidents across the full duration.
Industrial Scaffolding Systems We Use
For industrial access, Summit deploys PERI UP, Scafom-RUX and PLATAC modular scaffolding systems. These systems provide load-rated working platforms suitable for industrial maintenance, plant shutdown access, equipment installation, pressure vessel inspection and boiler works. All scaffold structures are designed, erected and handed over with a signed SG4 handover certificate before any operative accesses the platform.
Shutdown and Turnaround Scaffolding
Industrial shutdowns demand speed, precision and absolute reliability. Summit Scaffolding has extensive experience in shutdown and turnaround scaffolding where the critical path is tight and delay is not an option. We mobilise quickly from our Dublin and Wexford depots, provide dedicated scaffold supervisors for the full duration of the shutdown and can scale crew numbers to meet programme demands at short notice.
Safe-T-Cert Accredited Industrial Contractor
Summit Scaffolding holds Safe-T-Cert accreditation, the Republic of Ireland’s primary third party safety management certification for construction and industrial contractors. For procurement teams requiring evidence of our accreditation before contract award, our current Safe-T-Cert certificate is available on request. We also carry full public liability insurance, employer’s liability insurance and a current tax clearance certificate. A complete compliance pack can be provided within 24 hours.

Industrial Scaffolding Ireland — Frequently Asked Questions
What industries does Summit provide industrial scaffolding for?
Summit Scaffolding provides industrial scaffolding across Ireland’s manufacturing, petrochemical, energy, food production, distillery and heavy industrial sectors. Clients include Aramark, Mercury Engineering, Kirby Group, Ardmac and leading Irish manufacturers. We have experience with planned maintenance shutdowns, turnaround projects and new facility construction.
Are your industrial scaffolders insurance-approved?
Yes. All Summit operatives carry current CSCS cards, are trained to QQI Level 5 scaffolding standard and work under Safe-T-Cert accredited procedures. Summit Scaffolding carries full public liability insurance to €13 million and employer liability insurance to €13 million, meeting the requirements of Ireland’s largest industrial clients.
Can Summit work in live plant environments?
Yes. Summit regularly delivers industrial maintenance scaffolding in live plant environments with permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures and 24-hour working. We coordinate closely with client maintenance, safety and operations teams to deliver scaffolding with minimal disruption to production.
Which industrial scaffolding system does Summit use?
Summit uses the PERI UP modular scaffolding system for most industrial projects due to its speed, load capacity and adaptability to irregular plant geometry. For complex or high-load applications we use Scafom-RUX tube and fitting, and the PLATAC Metric System for specialist access. All systems are maintained to manufacturer specification.
How quickly can you mobilise for an industrial shutdown?
Summit can mobilise industrial scaffolding teams for shutdown and turnaround projects within 48 hours with advance notice. For planned shutdowns we typically engage with the client 8 to 12 weeks ahead to agree resourcing, method statements, permits and delivery schedules. Call 087 784 7460 to discuss your shutdown programme.
